TEAM BIO
Coach Buczkowski on his 2019 team:

After graduating 15 seniors in 2017 and sending 13 of those to play college baseball the Carmel Greyhounds were extremely young and inexperienced in 2018. With the majority of their starters returning, Carmel will have high expectations in 2019. Offensively the Greyhounds are led by a pair of outfielders committed to attend Butler University, Jackson Adams and Jared Greene. Those 2 combined with sophomore OF JD Rogers, transfer C/OF Christian Williams, 1B Brayden Lentz and SS/RHP Alex Brooks should pace the Greyhounds offense and provide a solid defense. Carmel also returns 90% of their innings pitched from 2019 led by seniors Drew Olssen, Drew Harding and Zach Vogt to go along with juniors Aiden Bradbury and Alex Brooks. All 5 saw substantial innings on the mound in 2018 and should be poised to make significant strides this season. The Greyhounds will need to perform at a high level to win the MIC championship against strong competitors such as Center Grove and Lawrence North. Carmel also finds itself in one of the strongest sectionals in Indiana with schools like 2018 state champions Fishers, 2014 state champions Noblesville, and perennial powerhouses Westfield, North Central and Hamilton Southeastern
